Pastrami Reuben Salad in a Jar

Ingredients

  • - 2 cups Kretschmar Pastrami, chopped
  • - 1 cup Kretschmar Pepper Jack Cheese, shredded
  • - 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • - ⅛ tsp pepper
  • - 2 cups cubed rye bread
  • - ¾ cup Thousand Island salad dressing
  • - 1 cup coleslaw mix (no dressing) / shredded cabbage & carrots mix
  • - 1 large tomato, diced
  • - 8 green onions, thinly sliced
  • - 1 pack (6 oz) ready-to-serve salad greens

Instructions

  • 1. COMBINE butter and pepper in a bowl. Add bread cubes and toss to coat.
  • 2. ARRANGE in a single layer in an ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pan.
  • 3. BAKE at 400° until golden brown, 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool.
  • 4. DIVIDE and layer ingredients in this order in each of four mason jars: dressing, pastrami, coleslaw, tomato, green onions, cheese and salad greens.
  • 5. ADD croutons to top it off.
