Savory Turkey & Bacon Pinwheels

  • 1 - 8 ounce tube crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 pound sliced Kretschmar Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound sliced Kretschmar Master’s Cut Applewood Smoked Turkey Breast, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup sundried tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 ounces Kretschmar Mild Cheddar cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 6 slices crisp cooked bacon, crumbled


  • Preheat the oven to 350° F. Grease an 8 X 8 square pan and set aside.
  • Unroll croissant dough and divide it into 4 sections. Place 2 slices swiss cheese and 2 slices of turkey on each. Sprinkle with sundried tomatoes.
  • Roll up each rectangle and seal seams. Cut each roll into 4 slices and place in the prepared pan. Brush with melted butter and bake for 18- 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, place butter in saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, stir in flour then immediately add milk. Whisk briskly until smooth and thickened. Add the Kretschmar Mild Cheddar cheese and stir until fully incorporated. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Spoon the sauce over the pinwheels and top with the bacon.
